About Andy

Andy Collins is a health and life coach and the founder of Carey Phoenix Life Coaching. He specialises in supporting those living with chronic and long-term health conditions, believing that everyone deserves to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life, regardless of their challenges.

With over two decades in the health and wellbeing industry, Andy has worked with both NHS and private clients, passionately striving to improve the overall quality of life for individuals, especially those facing physical and mental health challenges.

Carey Phoenix is founded on key principles and practices:

  1. Empathy and Understanding: Andy applies an empathic, non-judgemental approach to fully understand the unique challenges each client faces due to their conditions. Knowing what matters to them is key and helps build trust and rapport.
  2. Goal Setting: He helps clients set realistic and achievable goals related to their health and overall well-being, tailored to their circumstances and accepting of their condition’s limitations.
  3. Education: With two decades of experience working with long-term health conditions, Andy supports clients in better understanding and managing their health. He shares information about their condition, potential lifestyle changes, and coping strategies to help them reach their goals.
  4. Behaviour Change Activation: Andy assists clients in making positive changes in their established behaviours and habits. This can involve adopting a healthier diet, incorporating regular exercise, managing stress, addressing sleep issues, or improving medication adherence.
  5. Motivation and Accountability: He works with each client to provide ongoing motivation and accountability, helping them stay on track with their goals through regular non-judgemental check-ins and progress assessments.
  6. Stress Management: Using specific life coaching techniques, Andy helps clients develop effective stress management strategies and understand how stress can exacerbate chronic conditions. This might include teaching relaxation exercises, mindfulness, or other stress-reduction strategies.
