Everyone has stress, and not nearly as many manage it effectively. Left unchecked it can be detrimental to the balance of your brain chemistry, and long term can even negatively influence chronic pain. Stress is also linked to poor heart health, again with long term high stress being the worst offender.

Something that many practitioners are reporting, is that the age that stress or anxiety starts showing in people is dropping and is seen more and more in teenagers and even primary school aged children. There is much speculation as to why this is the case, but the solution is the same: tackle the problem.
