The Rolf method of Structural Integration is akin to a very deep tissue massage that works myofascial structures at key points around the body with the aim of restoring movement and postural alignment.
During our lives we acrew injuries, our posture distorts through vocational repetitive activity, and we suffer the effects of gravity as we age. These changes may compromise our physical ease of movement, cause us chronic pain, adversely affect our physiology and limit the freedom by which we live and express ourselves in the world.
Through a series of systematic treatments, Structural Integration releases and rebalances the fascial guy ropes of the body; such that bones can regain their space and positioning, joints become more congruent, and muscles re-balance across joints. The net effect of this is to reduce stiffness and pain, and greatly increase ease of movement in daily, professional and sporting activities. Much of the work and assessment of clients is based on walking, from foot to knee to hips to the rotational movement of our upper body. Being bipeds, walking is our fundamental movement and something we want to maintain through out our life.

WHAT CONDITIONS ARE HELPED BY STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION:
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION:
PRICES:
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS: These are offered to address particular areas of pain or muscular dysfunction. £70
3 SERIES: This provides a mini body balance. It addresses the functionality of the lower girdle (hips and legs), the upper girdle (shoulders and arms), with a final integrating treatment relating both to a functional spine. £180
10 SERIES: This systematically works through the entire body. The chest is opened up to allow the shoulder girdle to fall back; the feet are worked such that ankles, knees and hips horizontalize – providing a true base for the spine; the lumbars re-established, and the head and neck relationship rebalanced. This is recommended for those with a history of injuries, chronic pain and mobility issues. £600
Each session is 90 minutes and involves a postural assessment with some home work of various functional movements.
