Tamsin Arnold has been working as a Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also a qualified LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) practitioner.
Tamsin works part-time as a consultant leading an NHS team in London, and part-time in private practice in the Bath area, focusing on the neurofeedback arm of her work. Although much of her experience is in the field of children with neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities and their parents/families, her neurofeedback clinic is available to people of all ages with a wide variety of presenting issues.
Tamsin became interested in complementary and alternative therapies, and in particular in neurofeedback, in response to the complex needs of one of her own children who has a diagnosis of ADHD. She has found that these approaches provide a helpful addition or alternative (depending on the circumstances) to more traditional approaches. She is particularly interested in offering neurofeedback to people presenting with ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, migraine, and traumatic brain injury (head injury).
Neurofeedback can produce significant positive changes in functioning in a short period of time and as such people may benefit from psychological input to support them around this time of change. Tamsin has experience in a variety of psychological approaches including systemic, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based CBT from which she can draw to support the needs of her clients.
